Who we are

Fah Swe Tools is the free online tools hub at https://fahswetools.com, operated by Fah Swe (fahswe.com), a software company based in Sylhet, Bangladesh. We provide free image, media, SEO, document/PDF, and security & text utilities.

In short

Tools marked “Local Processing” work inside your browser. Your files and text stay on your device and are not uploaded to Fah Swe servers or third parties. Before each release, automated browser tests record every network request these tools make and check that no file contents or file names are sent.
Tools marked “Server Processing” send what you give them to our server over HTTPS. Each tool page says what happens next — for example, a result file kept for up to about 24 hours so you can download it, or an answer sent straight back with nothing kept.
The background tools (Remove, Blur and Change Background) upload your photo once for the AI cut-out step and keep nothing.
We don't sell your files or personal data. There are no visitor accounts and no payments on the site today.

Files, photos, documents and text you give a tool

Browser tools (Local Processing): processed on your device. This includes the NID & ID card scanner, Document Scanner, Passport Photo Maker, Photo Print Sheet, most image, PDF and video tools, and the shop tools. Nothing is uploaded, so nothing is stored or deleted on our side.
Server tools that make a file: your file is uploaded over HTTPS, processed, and the result is stored only so you can download it. It is deleted automatically within about 24 hours (a cleanup runs every 30 minutes). The original you uploaded is not kept.
Server tools that give an answer: text tools (for example JSON, Base64, password and SEO checkers) and a few file tools (OCR, file hash) send your input to our server, which sends the answer straight back. Nothing is kept. When you enter a web address, our server visits that address to check it.
Video downloaders: our server fetches the public video from the platform for you, keeps the file only so you can download it, and deletes it automatically within about 24 hours. The link you paste is not saved or written to logs. We never ask for platform passwords.
Background tools (Hybrid): your photo is uploaded once so our server can make the cut-out mask; the mask is sent back and nothing is kept. The rest of the editing happens in your browser.

Things saved in your own browser

Some features save small things on your device, never on our server: your language and theme, the cookie notice, favourite and recent tools, tools you save for offline use (the tool's page and engine files, not your files), and — only if you tick “remember” — shop details for the receipt and job-card tools. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Technical requests and security logs

Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser details when your browser asks for a page. Our web server's access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) are kept for 14 days, and application logs for up to about 4 days (three daily rotations). Your IP address is also used briefly in memory to limit abuse. File contents, typed text and pasted download links are not written to these logs.

Site analytics

We count page views with our own analytics, stored on our server: a visitor code made by one-way hashing your IP address and browser details with a secret key (the IP address itself is not stored), the page address, an approximate location (country, region, city) looked up from the IP on our own server, device, operating system and browser types, and the referring website. Page addresses that look like file names are dropped. These records are kept for up to 400 days. Pages without a tool (home, category, about and blog pages) are also measured by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our CDN provides (page load timing and the page address); no tool page carries it.

Searches that find nothing

When a site search finds no tool (or only weak matches), or you press “Suggest this tool”, your browser sends the search words to our server so we can see which tools people need. Anything that looks personal or secret is never sent — long numbers such as ID or phone numbers, e-mail addresses, links, passwords, tokens or long text. The server checks again and keeps only a daily count of a cleaned summary such as “compress pdf”: not your exact words, not your IP address and no visitor code, so it cannot be linked to you. These counts are kept for up to 365 days.

The Fah Swe AI assistant

Messages you send to the chat assistant are answered by a language model running on our own server. They are not sent to an outside AI company and are not saved after the answer.

Accounts, payments and referrals

Visitors don't have accounts — only site administrators sign in. There are no payments and no referral programme on the site today. If we add any of these, this policy will say what is collected before the feature goes live.

How long things are kept

Result files from server tools and downloaders: deleted automatically within about 24 hours. Files sent to tools that only give an answer, photos sent to the background tools, and download links: not kept. Web server access logs: 14 days. Application logs: up to about 4 days. Analytics page-view records: up to 400 days. We do not sell your files or personal data.

Children’s privacy

These tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Do not upload personal data of children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it where feasible.

International users

Fah Swe Tools is operated from Bangladesh. If you access the site from outside Bangladesh, you understand that information may be processed in Bangladesh and in countries where our hosting or service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to that processing as described in this policy.

Your choices

You may stop using the site at any time. Browser tools are the most private choice for sensitive files such as ID cards and documents. For advertising controls, use Google Ad Settings and your browser's cookie settings. To ask about anything on our server, contact us — result files may already have been deleted.
