What is Resize Image?

Resize Image changes a picture to an exact width and height, a percentage, or a ready preset such as 1080×1080 for Instagram, 1920×1080 for Full HD or 1200×630 for link previews. The aspect lock keeps photos from stretching, and when the shape changes you choose whether to fit, pad or fill. Everything happens in your browser with high-quality step-down smoothing.

Resize images online by exact width/height, scale percent or a ready preset. The aspect ratio stays locked unless you choose Fit, Pad, Fill or Stretch, so photos never distort by accident — ideal for social posts, thumbnails and web assets, resized on your device by Fah Swe Tools.

Troubleshooting

  • My picture got blurry It was enlarged. Resizing up can't add detail; pick a size no larger than the original for the sharpest result.
  • The edges were cut off Fill trims whatever doesn't fit the new shape. Choose Pad to keep the whole picture.
  • I'm asked to confirm the first frame Animated GIF, WebP and AVIF files hold several pictures. This tool works on one, so it asks before using only the first frame — nothing is flattened silently.
  • The page says the image is too large for this device Very large pictures have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, try a computer instead of a phone, or shrink the picture first with Resize Image.

How it works

  1. Choose an image — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG or ICO. It stays on your device.
  2. Enter a width or height (the other side follows with the aspect lock on), a percentage, or pick a preset.
  3. With the lock off, choose Fit inside, Pad to exact size, Fill (crop edges) or Stretch, then download.

FAQ

Does resize keep quality?

Downscaling uses high-quality smoothing in steps, so edges stay clean. Enlarging can't add detail, so upscaled photos look softer — you're told when that happens.

Can I set only width?

Yes — with the aspect lock on, the height is calculated so the picture is never stretched.

Will my photo be distorted for 1080×1080?

No. Presets fill the exact size by trimming the edges; pick Pad to keep the whole picture with a background colour, or Stretch only if you really want it.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser; the file never leaves your device.

What is the difference between Fit, Pad and Fill?

Fit keeps the whole picture inside the size; Pad adds a background colour to reach the exact size; Fill covers the size and trims the edges.

Can I resize to 50%?

Yes — choose Percent and type 50. Both sides are scaled together.
