What is Passport Photo Studio?
Passport Photo Maker makes passport-style and ID photos at exact sizes — 35×45 mm, 2×2 inches, 40×50, 30×40 or 25×30 mm, or your own size in mm, cm, inches or pixels at 300 to 600 dpi. Move, pinch, zoom and straighten the photo under the frame while a framing guide shows where the head usually sits; mark the top of the head and the chin and the tool scales and centres the face for you. Fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth and sharpness, then download the photo and a print sheet for 4R, 3R, 5R, A4 or Letter paper as an exact-size PDF with cut guides and a calibration ruler. Everything runs in your browser. Create passport-style photos using common dimensions. Always verify the exact requirements of the authority receiving your photo.

Troubleshooting
- A low-resolution warning appears Your photo has fewer pixels across the frame than the size needs at the chosen dpi, so the print may look soft. Use the original camera photo rather than a screenshot or a chat copy, or zoom out a little.
- The print came out the wrong size Print the PDF, not the image, at 100% (actual size) with "fit to page" off, then measure the ruler on the sheet. If it is off, check the printer's scaling settings.
- The background isn't white On a plain wall, choose Automatic (or Always replace) and a white colour — replacement runs in your browser. If detection is unsure, use the Pro erase/restore brush, or use Change Background (AI) first and open the result here.
- The page says the image is too large for this device Very large pictures have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, try a computer instead of a phone, or shrink the picture first with Resize Image.
Also known as: Passport Size Photo Maker, 35x45 Photo Maker, 2x2 Photo Maker, Visa Photo Maker, ID Photo Maker, Passport Photo Sheet.
How it works
- Upload one or several front-facing photos. They stay on your device — Passport never uploads for cut-out.
- Telecom Quick Mode auto-detects each person locally, replaces the real background (default studio blue), aligns heads and sizes frames. Review each portrait before printing.
- Print Desk: choose 4R / A4 / Letter, pick 4 / 6 / 8 / 12 copies (or custom), then Create print-ready PDF. Country-style presets are separate guidance — blue shop sheets are not official passport approval.
- Pro Edit: hair cleanup, erase/restore, quality proof scan, Photo Studio Pro handoff. Print at 100% / Actual Size. Never auto-sent to a printer. Acceptance never guaranteed.
FAQ
Will my photo be accepted?
Presets use common documented sizes reviewed 2026-10. Always verify the exact requirements of the authority receiving your photo. This tool never guarantees acceptance.
Can I process several customers at once?
Yes. Add multiple photos, run Process all, review each result, set copies, then export a packed print PDF or send framed photos to Print Sheet via a temporary same-browser handoff (not uploaded).
Is the blue background real replacement?
Yes when detection is confident: a local U²-Net-P person mask (with plain-wall fallback) cuts the subject and composites onto the chosen colour. Empty-frame fill after tilt is not the same as subject cut-out.
How do I fix leftover hair strands?
Use Smart Hair Cleanup for false disconnected fragments, then erase/restore in Pro Edit or Edit in Photo Studio Pro. Automatic segmentation is not perfect — manual painting edits the real alpha mask.
Does Passport upload my photo?
No. Segmentation, framing, Pro Edit, Photo Studio Pro handoff, batch PDF and print-sheet handoff run in your browser. Remove, Change and Blur Background also mask on-device — your photo is not uploaded for AI cutout.
How do I print at the exact size?
Download the PDF and print it at 100% (actual size) with "fit to page" turned off. Use the calibration test PDF and measure the ruler: if 50 mm measures 50 mm, sizes are right.
Does this check whether my photo meets official rules?
No. It sizes, positions and lays out the photo and shows a common framing guide; it doesn't judge your expression, lighting or background. Check the authority's requirements yourself.
What does the fill colour do?
It fills only the parts of the frame your photo doesn't reach (after zooming out or turning). That is separate from Automatic background replace, which detects a plain wall behind the person in your browser. The tool tells you when any edge is filled.
What does the crown and chin helper do?
You place two markers on the top of the head and the chin; the tool then scales the photo so the head height falls in the middle of the guide, straightens the line between them and centres it.
