    What is Shop Profit Calculator?

Shop Profit Calculator shows what a shop really earns in a day, a week or a month. List the products you sold with your buying cost and selling price per unit and the quantity sold; add the discounts you gave, stock that was spoiled or lost, and the period's running costs — rent, electricity, gas and water, staff wages, transport and anything else. You see sales, the cost of the goods sold, gross profit and gross margin, the average markup, net profit after running costs, net margin and the sales you need to break even, plus the profit and margin of every product. A price helper gives the selling price for the margin or markup you want. Money uses ISO 4217 minor units (not a single paisa/cents scale), and the report can be downloaded or printed on A4, A5 or an 80/58 mm thermal roll.

    Key features

    • Any number of products: cost per unit, selling price per unit and quantity (decimals allowed for kg or litres)
    • Discounts given and spoiled or lost stock included in the result
    • Running costs: rent, utilities, wages, transport and other
    • Gross profit, gross margin, average markup, net profit and net margin
    • Break-even sales: what you need to sell for the gross profit to cover the running costs
    • Profit and margin per product, so loss-making items stand out
    • Price helper: the selling price for a wanted margin or markup
    • Exact money in ISO minor units; percentages rounded half-up once
    • Printable report (PDF/PNG) on A4, A5 or 80/58 mm thermal paper; Bangla digits optional

    Popular uses

    • See the month's real profit of a grocery, tea stall, pharmacy or mobile shop after rent and wages
    • Find which products earn the most and which sell at a loss
    • Set a selling price that keeps a 20% margin on a new product
    • Know how much you must sell each month to cover your running costs

    Supported formats

No files needed. Output: profit report as PDF and PNG (A4, A5, 80 mm or 58 mm).

    Troubleshooting

    • A field is marked as not a number Use digits with an optional decimal point (Bangla digits are fine); leave out currency signs and spaces.
    • Break-even says it isn't reachable Your selling prices don't cover the cost of the goods, so no amount of sales pays the running costs — raise prices or lower costs first.

Also known as: Profit Margin Calculator, Markup Calculator, Retail Profit Calculator, Break-even Calculator.

    How it works

    1. Add the products you sold: cost per unit, selling price per unit and the number sold in the period.
    2. Add discounts given, spoiled or lost stock and the period's running costs (rent, electricity, wages, transport, other).
    3. Gross and net profit, margin, markup and break-even sales update as you type; the price helper gives the selling price for a wanted margin or markup.
    4. Download or print the profit report as a PDF or PNG.

    FAQ

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Margin is profit as a share of the selling price; markup is what is added on top of the cost. Buying at 100 and selling at 125 is a 25% markup and a 20% margin.

    Are the amounts exact?

Yes. Money uses ISO minor units for the selected currency as integers, so rounding errors never accumulate; percentages are rounded half-up to one decimal place. Not every currency uses two decimals.

    Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The calculation and the report are made in your browser; no number is uploaded or stored.

Why is my margin lower than my markup?

They divide the same profit by different amounts: markup by the cost, margin by the selling price. A 25% markup is always a 20% margin.
