What is Exam Seating Planner?
Exam Seating Planner imports a class roster, lets you define one or more rooms by rows, columns and capacity, then builds a seating plan with optional class/section separation and accessible seats. If there are more students than seats the tool stops with a clear error — it never drops a name silently or puts two people in one chair. Pro mode uses a numeric seed so the same roster, rooms, seed and options reproduce the same layout unless you lock or swap seats by hand. Print room maps and invigilator lists as PDF, plus CSV and a .fst-exam-seating.json project. This is not live exam-hall camera sync, biometric attendance or a government seating portal. Names stay in this browser.

FAQ
Is student data uploaded?
No. Names and rolls stay in this browser tab, or on this device only if you use the school workspace. Nothing is sent to Fah Swe servers.
Can the same plan be reproduced?
Yes. Pro mode uses a numeric seed — the same roster, rooms, seed and options produce the same layout (unless you lock or move seats manually).
What if there are more students than seats?
The tool stops with a clear error — it never drops students silently or assigns two students to one seat.
Does this mark who is present on exam day?
No. It prints a seating chart. Attendance is a separate school tool and is still manual.
