What is School Gradebook?
School Gradebook keeps one term of class marks — class tests, assignments, practicals and term exams — with weights you set, then computes each student's weighted percentage, grade, GPA, pass or fail and shared merit position. Blank marks are never invented: by default they block that student's result until filled. AB is absent; EX is excused. Import a roster CSV or a file from another Fah Swe school tool. Download report cards, a landscape class gradebook, subject analysis, Excel/CSV and a .fst-gradebook.json for the marksheet tool. This is not a government EMIS, live SIS or automatic script-checking service. Data stays in this browser; optional device save is not encrypted.

- Print report cards after every required mark is present
- Hand the gradebook file to Result & Marksheet Maker without retyping
Supported formats
Import CSV / school JSON. Output: PDF cards and book, XLSX, CSV, .fst-gradebook.json.
Troubleshooting
- A student has no merit position Merit is among passed, complete students. Fill blanks or check fail/incomplete flags first.
Also known as: Teacher grade book, Weighted marks register, Class report-card maker.
How it works
- Set the class, the grading scale and pass mark, and the assessment types with their weights (for example class tests 20 %, assignments 10 %, term exam 70 %).
- Add subjects and their assessments with full marks; import the student roster from a CSV file or another Fah Swe school tool, or type it.
- Enter marks subject by subject — paste a whole column from a spreadsheet — and use AB for absent and EX for excused. Blank marks are flagged, never guessed.
- Download report cards, the class gradebook, a subject analysis, Excel and CSV, and a gradebook file for the report-card and term-comparison tool.
FAQ
How is a subject percentage calculated?
Each assessment type's percentage is marks obtained ÷ full marks of its assessments (optionally dropping the lowest), then the types are combined with your weights. Weights are relative: a subject without assignments uses the remaining types' weights.
What happens to missing marks?
By default a blank mark stops that student's result until it is filled — nothing is invented. In Pro mode you can instead count blanks as 0 or leave them out; AB (absent) counts as 0 or is excused by its own rule, and EX is always excused.
Can I use my existing student list?
Yes. Import a roster CSV (student_id, roll, name, class, section — Bangla headers work too) or the files saved by the Marksheet, Attendance or Student ID Card tools, and export the roster for the other tools.
Where is the data stored?
Only in this browser: on this page, or on this device if you choose it. Nothing is uploaded. Browser storage is not encrypted and can be cleared — keep a backup file.
What happens to a missing mark?
Nothing is invented. By default that student's result stays incomplete. Pro mode can count blanks as 0 or omit them — you choose.
Is this connected to a ministry or board portal?
No. It is a local class book. Official submissions stay on the systems those bodies provide.
