What is OCR PDF?
OCR PDF reads the text in scanned pages and photos of documents using Tesseract, running entirely in your browser with English and Bangla language data. Choose the language, quality and pages, then download a searchable PDF that looks exactly like the original, a UTF-8 text file, or both. The OCR engine downloads once from this site; your PDF never leaves your device.
OCR scanned PDFs on your own device. Tesseract runs in your browser with English and Bangla language data, turning page images into text you can search and copy. Download a searchable PDF, a text file or both, and always proofread important text.

Troubleshooting
- The text has many mistakes Use the "small text" quality, make sure the right language is chosen, and start from a sharp, straight scan. Rotate sideways pages first with Rotate PDF.
- It says the page already has text That page contains real text, so OCR isn't needed. Use PDF to Text, or untick "skip pages with text".
- The page says the PDF is too large for this device Large PDFs have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, use a computer instead of a phone, or split the PDF into smaller parts first.
Also known as: Bangla OCR, Scanned PDF to text, Image PDF to text, Bengali OCR.

FAQ
Which languages are supported?
English, Bangla, or both in the same document.
How accurate is it?
Clean 300 DPI scans read well. Photos taken at an angle, blurry pages and handwriting give poorer results — always proofread important text.
Why does the first run take longer?
The OCR engine and language data (several MB) download once from this site; your PDF is not uploaded.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and processed in your browser; it never leaves your device.
How long does it take?
Roughly 5–20 seconds per page on a computer, longer on phones and with Bangla + English together.
Does it read handwriting?
Not reliably. Tesseract is trained on printed text.
