Troubleshooting
- The watermark hides the text Lower the opacity to 20–30% or choose "Under the content" so it sits behind the text.
- It asks for a password The PDF is encrypted. Type its password — it stays in this browser tab for this file only and is never sent. Without the password the file can't be opened.
- The page says the PDF is too large for this device Large PDFs have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, use a computer instead of a phone, or split the PDF into smaller parts first.

No. The watermark is added as a vector layer; the original text stays selectable and searchable.

Can a watermark be removed?
Anyone with a PDF editor can delete an added layer. A watermark marks ownership; it is not protection — use Protect PDF for that.
Is my PDF uploaded?

Why should I watermark copies of my ID?
