What is Resize Video?
Resize Video changes a video's resolution or shape. Choose 4K, 1440p, 1080p, 720p, 480p or exact pixels, and an aspect ratio such as 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5. Fit keeps the whole picture with black bars, Fill zooms in and crops the edges, and Stretch distorts — Fit is the default so nothing is squashed by accident. FAQ
What is the difference between Fit, Fill and Stretch?
Fit keeps the whole picture and adds black bars, Fill zooms in and crops the edges, Stretch distorts the picture to the new shape. Fit is the default.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Resize Video runs entirely in your browser with WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device and is never sent to Fah Swe servers.
Will resizing to a bigger resolution add detail?
No. Upscaling only makes the picture bigger; it may look softer. The result notes tell you when the output is larger than the source.
Which ratio should I use for Reels, Shorts and TikTok?
9:16 (1080×1920). For a feed post 4:5 or 1:1 works well; for YouTube use 16:9.
