Quick: scale, subjects and marks. Pro adds student ID, optional (4th) subject, merit position, GPA rounding and signature titles.

Grading scale

No scale is assumed. The chosen scale is printed on each marksheet; check it matches your school's rules.

Subjects

Leave pass marks empty to use the pass % (rounded up to a whole mark).

    Students & marks

Type AB for absent. Enter moves to the next student; the table scrolls sideways on small screens.

Import students (CSV or paste from Excel)

CSV (Roll, Name, subjects), a shared roster JSON, or a School Gradebook file (.fst-gradebook.json). Blank marks stay blank — never invented. In Excel use File → Save as → CSV, or paste cells below.

What is Student Result & Marksheet Maker?

Result & Marksheet Maker turns a class's marks into results. First choose the grading scale your school uses — Bangladesh GPA 5 (A+ for 80–100 … F below 33), university CGPA 4, letter grades A–F, percentage with pass/fail only, or your own grade bands and points; nothing is assumed. Add the subjects with their full and pass marks, then type each student's roll, name and marks — or import a CSV file or paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets. Every cell is checked: missing marks, text instead of a number, marks above the full marks and duplicate rolls are highlighted before anything is printed; type AB for an absent student. The tool works out total, percentage, each subject's grade and grade point, GPA, pass or fail and the merit position, exactly. Download a marksheet for every student (A4, one page each, with the grading scale and signature lines), a landscape tabulation sheet for the class, and the results as Excel (XLSX) and CSV. Students' names and marks stay in your browser.

    • Calculate GPA and grades for a coaching centre's model tests

    Troubleshooting

    • The download button stays disabled The results panel lists what to fix: choose a grading scale, fill in missing marks (or AB for absent), correct marks above the full marks, or give each subject a name and full marks.
    • The import put the marks in the wrong subjects Make sure the first row has the subject names, spelled the same as in the subject list, and that Roll and Name are their own columns.
    • The GPA differs from the board's result Check that you chose the same scale and pass marks, the optional subject (Pro) and the rounding rule — boards may truncate rather than round GPA.

    How it works

    1. Choose your grading scale — Bangladesh GPA 5, university CGPA 4, letter grades, percentage only, or your school's own grade bands — and the pass marks.
    2. Add the subjects with full marks (and pass marks if they differ).
    3. Type each student's roll, name and marks, or import them from a CSV file or paste them from a spreadsheet; wrong or missing marks are highlighted.
    4. Download the marksheets (one page per student), the tabulation sheet, and the results as XLSX and CSV.

    FAQ

Which grading system does it use?

The one you choose. Nothing is assumed: pick Bangladesh GPA 5 (A+ = 80–100), university CGPA 4, letter grades A–F, percentage with pass/fail only, or enter your own grade bands and points. The scale is printed on each marksheet.

Are students' names and marks uploaded?

No. All calculations and documents are made in this browser tab; student data is not sent to Fah Swe servers or any third party. It is saved on this device only if you tick the option, and “Delete saved data” removes it.

    How is GPA calculated?

GPA is the average of the subjects' grade points, to two decimals (rounded, or truncated if you choose). With “fail in any subject = fail” on, a student who fails a subject gets GPA 0.00. In Bangladesh GPA 5 you can mark an optional (4th) subject: only its grade points above 2.00 are added.

Can I import marks from Excel?

Yes. In Excel or Google Sheets copy the cells (with a first row of Roll, Name and the subject names) and paste them into “paste rows”, or save the sheet as CSV and import the file. Subject columns written as “Bangla (100)” also set the full marks.

How is the merit position decided?

Among students who passed, by GPA and then by total marks. Students with exactly the same GPA and total share a position. Students who failed get no position.

What does “fail in any subject = fail” do?

When it is on (the default), a student who is below the pass marks or absent in any subject — except the optional subject — fails overall and gets GPA 0.00. Turn it off if your school uses only the overall result.
