What is Sign PDF?

Sign PDF adds an electronic signature to your PDF in the browser. Draw it with a mouse, finger or pen, type your name in a handwriting font, or upload a photo of your signature with the white background removed. Place it anywhere, add initials (on every page if you like), a date or text, and save. This is an electronic signature — a picture placed on the page — not a certified digital signature with a cryptographic certificate.

Troubleshooting

  • My uploaded signature has a grey box around it Keep "Remove white background" ticked and photograph the signature on plain white paper in good light.
  • It asks for a password The PDF is encrypted. Type its password — it stays in this browser tab for this file only and is never sent. Without the password the file can't be opened.
  • The page says the PDF is too large for this device Large PDFs have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, use a computer instead of a phone, or split the PDF into smaller parts first.
