What is PDF to Text?
PDF to Text pulls the text out of a PDF in your browser and gives it to you as UTF-8 — ready to copy or save as a .txt file. Choose the pages and whether each page is marked, and add a BOM for older Windows programs. Scanned pages have no text inside, so they need OCR PDF instead.
Copy the text out of a PDF without uploading it. Text is extracted page by page into UTF-8, with optional page markers, ready to copy or download as .txt. For scanned pages, OCR PDF reads the text from the images.

Input: PDF with real text. Output: UTF-8 .txt.
Troubleshooting
- The Bangla text looks broken Some older Bangla PDFs use legacy (non-Unicode) fonts, so the stored text is not real Bangla Unicode. Run OCR PDF with Bangla to read the page images instead.
- It asks for a password The PDF is encrypted. Type its password — it stays in this browser tab for this file only and is never sent. Without the password the file can't be opened.

FAQ
Why is the text empty?
Scanned pages are pictures with no text inside. Use OCR PDF to read them.
Does it keep Bangla text?
Yes, when the PDF stores real text. Some older Bangla PDFs use legacy fonts without Unicode mapping; those come out garbled and need OCR.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and processed in your browser; it never leaves your device.
Does it keep the layout?
No — it gives the words in reading order with line breaks. Use PDF to Word to keep paragraphs, headings and tables.
