What is Rotate & Flip?

Rotate & Flip turns a picture 90° clockwise, 90° anticlockwise or 180°, and mirrors it horizontally or vertically, with a live preview. Sideways phone photos are first shown the way your gallery shows them, using the camera's orientation tag, so what you see is what you save. It all runs in your browser.

Rotate or flip images online in one click. Fix sideways phone photos (their camera orientation is respected) or mirror graphics while preserving transparency — done in your browser on Fah Swe Tools, nothing uploaded.

Troubleshooting

  • My photo looked upright but came out sideways elsewhere That happens when an app ignores the orientation tag. Results from this tool are saved with the pixels already upright.
  • I'm asked to confirm the first frame Animated GIF, WebP and AVIF files hold several pictures. This tool works on one, so it asks before using only the first frame — nothing is flattened silently.
  • The page says the image is too large for this device Very large pictures have to fit in your browser's memory. Close other tabs, try a computer instead of a phone, or shrink the picture first with Resize Image.

Also known as: Image Rotator, Flip Image, Mirror Image Online, Rotate Photo.

How it works

  1. Choose an image — sideways phone photos are shown upright first, using their camera orientation.
  2. Pick a rotation and/or a flip; the preview updates as you go.
  3. Download the rotated picture. Nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Does rotate keep transparency?

Yes. PNG, WebP and AVIF keep their transparent areas.

My phone photo already looks rotated — why?

Phones store sideways photos with an orientation tag. It is applied first, so the preview shows what you see in your gallery and the result is saved upright.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Rotating happens in your browser; the file never leaves your device.

How do I mirror a photo?

Choose Flip horizontal. Flip vertical turns it upside down as a mirror image.

Does rotating lower the quality?

Turns in 90° steps move pixels without resampling. PNG stays lossless; JPG, WebP and AVIF are saved at the quality you choose.
