What is Batch Image Compressor?
Batch Image Compressor makes a whole set of images smaller with the same Best, Balanced, Small and Custom modes as Compress Image. Keep each file's format or switch everything to WebP or AVIF, cap the longest side, and see the saving for every file and for the whole batch before downloading files one by one or as a ZIP. It runs in your browser. For upload forms, set a size target — for example every image under 200 KB, and optionally the whole set under 1 MB: each finished file's real size is checked, the original width and height are kept unless you allow resizing, and a file that can't fit is reported instead of being passed off as done.

- Shrink a blog post's images before upload
- Fit a set of photos under an email or form limit
- Optimise a product catalogue for a faster shop
Supported formats

Troubleshooting
- A file can't reach the size target Very detailed or very large photos may not fit a small target at the same pixel size. Allow resizing, choose WebP or AVIF output, or use a larger target.
- The total saving is small Photos already saved at low quality can't shrink much. Try Small, WebP/AVIF output or a longest-side limit.
- One file shows an error It couldn't be decoded. The other files still compress and download.
Also known as: Bulk Image Compressor, Compress Multiple Images, Bulk Photo Compressor.
How it works
- Add the images you want smaller; reorder or remove them in the queue.
- Pick Best, Balanced or Small (or Custom), keep the format or switch to WebP/AVIF, and optionally cap the size.
- Compress, check the savings per file and in total, then download them one by one or as a ZIP.
FAQ
Will any file get bigger?
No. If a file can't be made smaller in its own format, the original is kept (with metadata removed if you asked).
Does PNG lose quality?
Best keeps PNG lossless. Balanced and Small reduce colours only while the picture stays visually close; otherwise the file stays lossless.
How many files at once?
Up to 20 per batch on the free plan, fewer on low-memory devices.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser.
Why did one file show 0% saved?
It was already well compressed, so the original was kept rather than making it bigger.
How do I make every image under 200 KB?
Enter 200 in "Every image under (KB)" and add your photos. Every result is measured after compression; a file still over 200 KB is marked as failed with the size it reached, never counted as done.
How does the total size limit work?
The total is shared between the files in proportion to their original sizes, so bigger photos get a bigger share. If a share would be too small to make a usable image, you are told to raise the total or use fewer files.
Will my photos be resized?
No — width and height stay the same unless you tick "Allow fewer pixels" for when the target can't be reached otherwise. Quality is lowered first.
