What is Compress Video for WhatsApp?
This page opens the video compressor with settings chosen for WhatsApp: the short side at 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, H.264 video with AAC audio in an MP4, and a target of about 16 MB. That keeps faces and text readable while making long phone clips small enough to share. Everything runs in your browser, so the video you send to your family never passes through our server.

FAQ
Will WhatsApp accept the video?
The preset aims for an MP4 (H.264 + AAC) around 16 MB, which suits WhatsApp's usual limits, but WhatsApp can change its rules and may still recompress what you send. No acceptance is guaranteed.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser with WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device and is never sent to Fah Swe servers.
Why does my video look worse after sending on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp recompresses large videos itself. Sending a file that is already 720p and moderately sized usually means less extra recompression, but WhatsApp decides the final quality.
My video is long. Will 16 MB still look good?
For long videos a 16 MB target means a low bitrate. Trim the video first, or remove the target size in Custom mode to keep more quality and send it as a document instead.
